The school uniform must be kept to a high standard throughout the year and should be maintained appropriately when necessary. If an item of uniform is deemed to be inappropriate, the student will be asked to replace it. Items of clothing should be labelled with the student’s name on it. The full school uniform must be worn at all official school events, assemblies, induction days, school award ceremonies, etc.

The official school uniform can be purchased in Wm. Neville Draper in Youghal.
- Students are not permitted to wear hoodies, other non-uniform sweatshirts, leisure wear, or leisure shoes at any time in the school building – in class, between classes, or in indoor lunch-time areas. Runners and other forms of leisure shoes are only permitted for sporting events.
- From August 2026 the school's PE uniform is compulsory for all 1st years and will be worn on the days that students have PE ONLY. A normal school uniform will be worn at all other times. The following link will guide you to our online shop with McKeever Sports.
- T-SHIRTS: Only a white round neck T-shirt to be worn under the shirt, and only a white round neck short-sleeved T-shirt to be worn under the polo shirt.
- FLEECES: The fleece is optional, but recommended. It does not replace the school jumper, which is still a compulsory item of the school uniform.
- MAKE-UP: Make-up is not permitted in Junior Cycle classes, unless accompanied by a medical certificate (in this case, it should be discreet and natural make-up). Students in the Senior Cycle classes may wear discreet and natural make-up. Students will be asked to remove excessive makeup.
- JEWELLERY: As agreed by the Student Council and Board of Management, Small discreet piercings (1 pair) can be worn. Students will be asked to remove inappropriate piercings, so please refrain from wearing these during term time.
In exceptional circumstances where a student does not have a full school uniform, parents are asked to phone the school before 8.50 a.m. In these circumstances, arrangements will be made to provide a temporary replacement uniform for the school day.
