- The Board of Management expressed its sympathy to Mr Michael Murphy and family on the recent death of our former colleague, Mrs Julette Murphy. RIP Gabhaimid comhbhrón libh.
- The Board of Management complimented Cllr Mary Linehan Foley on her excellent performance in the recent General Election. Comhghairdeas leat.
- The Board of Management extended its congratulations to past pupil, James O’Connor, on his election to Dáil Eireann. Comhghairdeas leat.
- The Board of Management acknowledged the recent Politics & Society Expo held in school. Local politicians and invited guests attended; David Stanton, James O’Connor, Mary Linehan Foley, Liam Quiade and Walter Jayawardene. The Student Council was thanked for their involvement in this event. Míle buíochas.
- The Board of Management welcomed the very positive MLL Report and thanked the school community for their great work. Míle buíochas le gach éinne.
- Following the MLL, the Board of Management welcomed the proposal of a 5 year school plan ‘Fís 25’. Go n-éirí leis an dea-obair.
- The Board of Management decided to introduce PE as a leaving certificate subject in 2020 / 2021.
- Summer Works Scheme – The Board of Management supports an upgrade to the fire / alarm systems under this scheme.
- The Board of Management applied for a substantial SEAI grant to upgrade to energy efficient lighting in the school.
- The Board of Management updated and ratified the Dignity at Work Policy.
- School Extension – Stage 1 plans for the new extension / SEN centres were presented. The Board of Management welcomed additions to the new schedule of accommodation for the school extension (MTW & Home Economics classrooms). The Board of Management decided to seek extra resources for ASD / SEN students.
- The Board of Management thanked the Parents’ Association for their continued work and support of the school. Míle buíochas libh.
- The Board of Management congratulated the boys U19 Basketball team and their coach, Ms Dillon, on reaching the All Ireland Finals after mid-term. Comhghairdeas libh.
- Congratulations were also extended to our Concern Debating Team and their mentor, Mr Tim Ó Reágáin, on reaching to date the All Ireland play off. Comhghairdeas libh.
- The Board of Management expressed thanks to all staff for their continued commitment in providing a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities in school. Míle buíochas le gach éinne.
