A Thuiste/ A Chaomhnóir,
We hope you and your families are keeping well as we prepare for the start of a new school term.
The Minister for Education Norma Foley TD together with officials, met with representatives from Public Health, the HSE and education stakeholders yesterday to discuss the re-opening of schools.
It has been confirmed that schools will reopen as scheduled on Thursday 6th December 2022.
As a school community we are very conscious of the significant rise in Covid-19 numbers nationally.
Pobalscoil na Tríonóide will continue to follow our Covid-19 response plan which sets out a range of mitigation measures to keep all members of our school community safe, including hand hygiene, mask-wearing, social distancing and maintaining good ventilation in the school building.
*Please ensure your son/daughter wears sufficient warm clothing including plenty of layers taking the current cold weather into account. Classroom windows will remain on loose latch with classroom doors open for ventilation. For health and safety purposes students will spend break times outside.
We ask all parents / guardians to continue to follow all public health guidance if your son/ daughter is displaying symptoms (click here) of Covid-19 or are identified as a household contact or close contact of a positive or ‘detected’ test result either on a PCR or an antigen test your child should not attend school.

We will continue to monitor the situation carefully and thank you for your continued support in working with us to keep our community safe.
Le gach dea-ghuí,
Senior Management Team
