Reasonable Accommodations Leaving Cert and Junior Cert 2019 Application Deadlines
FAO: Parents of students with SEN/LC Students with SEN
The applications process for Reasonable Accommodations in the Certificate Exams (RACE) 2019 is now open. The deadlines are as shown in the table.
Applications outside of these times will NOT be considered by the State Exams Commission
Leaving Cert students who accessed RACE for Junior Cert and are still eligible for the additional help in the exams complete a REACTIVATION form to access support in the LC exam. However, requests for Scribes and SOLO centres on medical/other grounds have an additional application process.
Junior Cert applications: specific tests to assess eligibility have to be carried out before applications can be made, from October to December.
If you believe your child is eligible for additional support in the Certificate exams (Reader/Laptop/Spelling Waiver/Special Centre etc) on the grounds of a learning or medical/emotional difficulty please contact the SEN Dept. asap.
