The Student Council at Pobalscoil na Trionoide is democratically elected each year. It represents the views of students and works in partnership with the Board of Management, Parents Association, Principal and staff to ensure the smooth running of the school. Each class elects a class captain and vice captain who form The General Assembly. The General Assembly elects an Executive Council. The Council includes one representative from first, second and third year and two representatives from fourth, fifth and sixth year.
The Assembly members also elect the officers including the Chairperson, Secretary and PRO. The Assembly and Council meet on a regular basis to discuss issues of interest to students. The officers meet with the Principal to provide student feedback and raise any concerns.
Student Council News
The Student Council held a very successful non-uniform day on December 16th 2011. Class Captains collected €2 from all students who chose not to wear uniform on that day. Teachers also supported the fundraiser by wearing ‘casual clothes’. The total amount collected was €1147.The money collected will be used to help pay for the improvements to the school pitch. This was the third non-uniform day organised by the Student Council during the last two years. The Council would like to thank all those who contributed or helped in any way. The Council hopes to organise a similar day during the last term.
