Procedures for Summer Examinations/Nósanna Imeachta do Scrúduithe an tSamhraidh 

Second Year / An Dara Bliain 2016 

  1. Examinations for Second years begin on Monday May 30th   and finish on Thursday June 2nd.
  2. All Second year students should be in school Monday,Tuesday and Thursday from 8.40 a.m. – 3.50 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8.40 a.m.-10.50p.m. for their exams.
  3. Studens finish at 10.50 on Wednesday June 1st. All buses depart at 11.00..
  4. Second year students are to assemble in the central triangle before exams.
  5. There is no class tutor class during the exams. Roll call will take place in the hall.
  6. Students are not allowed home if they do not have an exam. Procedures for illness/emergency appointments during the examination period are as normal. 
  7. Students may only sit exams on the allocated day and at the allocated time. 
  8. Supervised study will take place in the hall for students when they are not doing an exam. Study sessions will begin at the same time as the examination. This will allow students an opportunity to study for their next exam.
  9. Entry to the hall will not be permitted after an examination has started.
  10. Students are encouraged to use the full time allocation for each exam. 
  11. Students are required to adhere to school rules and procedures.
  12. Students are required to adhere to school rules regarding mobile phones. If a student is found with a mobile phone in their possession in the exam centre it will be confiscated and their exam paper will be cancelled as per State Examination Procedures.
  13. Students are required to wear full school uniform for the examination period.
  14. Second Years will finish their exams on Thursday June 2nd  at 3.50 p.m. They will not have school on Friday June 3rd. 

Lockers must be cleared out, left closed and unlocked by Wednesday June 1st  . 

Students who have not paid in full for the School Book Rental Scheme by Tuesday May 31st  must return all books to Ms.Clarke in the library. Books will be re-issued upon receipt of payment. Paid-up students should take their rental books home for the summer holidays Students are reminded that they have a’ duty of care’ towards their BRS books. 

The second year SPHE book must be returned to their teacher.
