Gaeilge Teastas Sóisearach- Junior Cert
Sa Teastas Sóisearach, leagtar béim ar chumarsáid nádúrtha trí Ghaeilge agus ar fhorbairt scileanna gabhchumais agus ginchumais na bhfoghlaimeoirí. Déanfaidh na daltaí staidéar ar fheidhmeanna éagsúla teanga a bhaineann lena saol féin agus cothaítear muinín na ndaltaí teanga, nach máthair teanga dóibh, á úsáid. Déanfaidh daltaí Ardleibhéil staidéar ar phrós agus filíocht na Gaeilge chomh maith.
As part of the Junior Cert course, emphasis is placed on natural communication in Irish and on the development of the acquisition skills of the learners. The students will study various different linguistic structures that are relevant to their own lives and by doing this, student confidence in expressing themselves in any language that is not their mother tongue is fostered. Additionally, higher level students study a range of Irish prose and poetry.

Déanfaidh daltaí Ardleibhéil dhá pháipéar agus déanfaidh daltaí Gnáthleibhéil páipear amháin. Déanfaidh na daltaí uilig cluastuiscint mar chuid den mheasúnú.
Higher level students sit two papers; ordinary level students sit a single paper. All students undertake a listening comprehension as part of their assessment.

Is teanga oifigiúil an Aontais Eorpaigh í an Ghaeilge agus mar sin, is iomaí deiseanna idirnáisiúnta fostaíochta atá ann dá bharr. Tá líon na ndaoine atá in ann Gaeilge a labhairt ag méadú bliain i ndiaidh bliana agus tá Gaeilgeoirí oilte ag teastáil chun freastal ar an bpobal dhá-theangach seo.
People with proficiency in Irish can work in the public, legal, broadcasting, education or publishing sectors as well as many other areas within Ireland. There are also many international employment opportunities given that Irish is an official language of the European Union. The number of Irish speakers is increasing year on year and educated Irish language speakers are in demand to meet the requirements of an increasingly bi-lingual public.
