Design and Communication Graphics (DCG)
DCG is a follow on from Junior Certificate Technical Graphics.
More emphasis on design is required.
It is similar in content to the old course but with a more cross-topic approach.

Assessment
40% of marks: – awarded for project completed between September and
Christmas of Leaving Certificate Year. 60% of marks: terminal drawing exam

Careers with Design and Communication Graphics
All Engineering and Engineering Technician Careers, Architecture, Architectural
Technician, Construction trades e.g. Bricklayer, Carpenter etc., Engineering Trades
e.g. Fitter, Toolmaker, etc. Industrial Designer, Industrial Engineer, Structural
Designer and Town Planner.
