BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition
It was an early start on Wednesday 11th January for Kate Hynes, Deirdre Ní Chléirigh and Sarah Donoghue. We drove to Dublin for the 48th BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. The atmosphere was electric and the opening ceremony presented by Adrian Power and Róisín Ní Thiomáin set the tone for the week. After setting up our stall, the first round of judging commenced, followed by two more rounds the following day. The exhibition is held in the RDS, Dublin and the Transition Year students visited on Friday. We really enjoyed our trip to Dublin. A highlight for us would be meeting Brian O’ Driscoll who was visiting the rugby projects and of course all the freebies! We would like to thank Ms. McCarthy, for all her advice and support. Our gratitude is also expressed to Ms. O’ Neill, Mae Clarke, Suzanne Hynes and Linda Donoghue. Looking forward to next year!
